Mary Madhavi on ‘Coping with Christmas’

Christmas can highlight the problems that people and families have. It shows up the loneliness and loss of hope. It enhances grief and loss of loved ones. It needs to be a time of gentleness and love.

It’s a balancing of family, friends and loved ones, when people need to show respect for those who have loved and been close.

Finances are a problem and that requires early planning and common sense.

Stress at Christmas is the stress of daily living not faced. A sense of purpose and meaning is for every day, not just at Christmas.
